About The Author
Ajay Navaria is an Indian writer and academic whose work includes short stories and novels. He holds an MPhil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His writing has been translated into multiple languages, with Unclaimed Terrain (2013), translated by Laura R. Brueck, receiving wide critical attention. His work is taught at universities including Harvard, Michigan, and Delhi. He teaches Hindi literature at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Shekha Kotak is a PhD candidate in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan. Her research is at the intersection of caste studies, history of emotions, and translation studies. She works with texts in Hindi and Gujarati languages. Along with studying theories of translation, she is also fond of applying those theories as a practitioner of translation as well as devising reading methods as a translator.
